This Is Not a Cozy Review Blog (But Sometimes It Is)

Welcome to "Pages with a Pulse" —my blog dedicated to honest, in-depth book reviews. That name isn't metaphorical to me. A pulse means something is alive: struggling, thriving, resonating, or even dying badly. It means a book got under your skin and wouldn't let you go, whether through comfort, dread, or adventure. The whole point is whether or not it made you feel something deeply enough to remember it. I don’t think all books have a pulse, but I expect that to be different from reader to reader.  And yes, that distinction actually matters—your favorite read might be my "tacky and boring," and vice versa. That's okay. Some books are perfectly competent yet utterly forgettable. Some are raved about by my closest of friends, while I personally end up hating them.
